Frequently Asked Questions
What are your prices?
My usual and customary fees for individual, couples, or family counseling throughout Oregon are:
Do you take insurance?
Yes! I am an in-network provider for some insurances, please check with your insurance and/or inquire to confirm if your insurance is one of them. If not yet, I might be in process of adding your insurance and/or I am able to provide you a superbill to submit to your insurance. If your insurance will cover superbills, once submitted, you’ll get a partial refund from them for your therapy sessions after your deductible has been met.
I've never been to therapy before. How does it work?
You are invited to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me where we ask each other questions and see if we click or not. Then we will schedule the first appointment, which is an intake session. I will email you intake paperwork to review and complete in advance. During the intake I will ask you a lot of questions about your mental health and medical history and we will further discuss your goals for therapy and begin to build space where you can be open about your experiences, challenges, and hopes. Then with the next appointment, we will really get into it!
Tell me more about clinical supervision
Over the years, I have supported the development of more than 20 emerging clinicians through either master’s level internship supervision or licensure supervision for professional counselor and marriage and family associates through both individual and small group supervisions. I attempt to use an approach to clinical supervision that best fits the supervisee’s personality, philosophy, work setting, systemic context, competence level, and experiential history. I will most likely use an Integrated Developmental Model within the supervisory relationship. While my approach may vary with the uniqueness of each supervisee, my primary role is to protect client welfare and to support the supervisee in doing the same.
Who are some people you learn from outside of formal training?
Some people I am continuing to learn from in addition to my professional continuing education requirements:
What do I do if I'm experiencing an immediate crisis?
Please call or text 988 (National Suicide and Crisis Lifelife) or go to your nearest emergency room for immediate assistance.
